Turning on power
When first spawning in, you’ll notice that there are several zombies standing dormant, so don’t let them take you by surprise when they wake up. Zombies will also shamble into the building immediately, regardless of if the dormant zombies are woken up.
In order to maximize points, shoot every zombie 8 times in the leg and then melee them until you run out of ammo. Then continue to melee them until you have one left. Also, make sure to build barriers until you stop gaining points. You can buy Quick Revive if it makes you feel safer, but you may find yourself short on points later on in the guide and having to advance the rounds further.
In Black Ops 2, a damaged zombie may die if the player leaves the area. Be careful not to damage a zombie you intend to leave alive at the end of a
round.
Building the Turbine and leaving the bus depot
You may notice that there is a buyable door to the outside. Never buy this door when first leaving spawn. Instead, grab the pieces for the turbine, using three pieces found in spawn. These pieces will always be in the same locations.
You can only pick up one piece at a time, so just grab one piece, build it at the workbench, and repeat for all the pieces. When finished, pick up the turbine and place it next to the door to the right of the workbench. After the door opens, make sure to pick up the turbine again. To the right inside this room there is a chance for a part to upgrade the bus to spawn.
If the part acquired is the hatch DO NOT BUILD IT ONTO THE BUS as it is required to obtain the Galvaknuckles later. If the part obtained is the plow or ladder, feel free to build them onto the bus. The plow is built by interacting with the front of the bus and the ladder goes onto the back right side.
Zombies coming at the bus from the side will usually latch onto a barrier but also have the chance to jump on the roof and break though the hatch.
They can also jump in from the front, but the plow piece will prevent this. If a zombie enters, lure it back out and to the side of the bus, hop back in, and close the bus doors by interacting with one of them. If the doors of the bus are left open, zombies will always go through them, so make sure they are closed once you are inside. If a zombie does make it inside and the bus starts to move, don't panic. It will stumble around and give an opportunity for you to move to the other end of the bus.
Open the doors to the bus and hop on. Try to get the remaining zombie to jump onto one of the barriers of the bus and then keep repairing the barrier. This will keep the zombie at the barrier indefinitely. From here, stay on the bus until you arrive at the diner.
Arriving at the diner
Hop out of the bus and make your way to the shed in front of the bus. You’ll need to place a turbine in front of the door to get it to open. Inside is another potential bus part spawn.
Arriving at the farm
Hop back onto the bus and get the zombie on a barrier again. Ride the bus to the farm location. If you already obtained the hatch piece, just stay on the bus until it leaves for the power station. If not, hop off the bus, buy the door into the farm, and continue straight back. Place the turbine in front on the door and look for another bus piece.
Arriving at the power station
Return and hop back on the bus as usual until it reaches the power station. From here you’ll need to open the door to the shed and drop down into the lab. In order to turn on the power, several pieces will need to be acquired and built at the workbench in the back of the lab next to the power switch.
Once the power switch is built, remember to go back and grab the bus part piece if you had one. Turn on the power switch and wait until the door to the left of the power switch opens. Keep going until you arrive back outside.
Obtaining Galvaknuckles
At this point the bus has probably already left but even if it hasn’t, you’ll want to stay anyway. Go back to the shed and buy the AK74u. If you don’t have enough points, end the round and keep meleeing zombies until you have enough.
Once the AK74u is acquired, the goal is to advance the rounds and rack up points until the bus arrives back at the power station. If you choose to camp by the wall buy, be aware that there is a ground spawn behind you, so you will need to listen and check for a zombie behind you. Once the bus returns, leave one zombie and hop on the bus as usual.
Arriving at the Town
When the bus arrives at the town, exit and buy the door into the bank. From here the priority should be buying Stamina Up, which is located in the bar and Juggernog which is located on the second floor of the other building. These perks, along with Galveknuckles, are borderline mandatory for traversing the fog on foot.
It is doable to traverse the map without Juggernog, Stamina Up, and Galvaknuckles however it is extremely risky. Although not advisable, you can get around without the bus with just Stamina up.
If you haven’t obtained all the bus parts, especially the hatch, place a turbine in front of the last part location door and grab the piece. The door is in an area behind some cars right in front of where the bus is stopped.
Before leaving the town, make sure to throw a grenade in front of both vault doors in the bank. The second door is behind the first. Doing this should blow the doors off.
Back to bus depot and diner
Hop back on the bus as usual and ride back to the bus station. Once there, place the turbine in pool of lava behind the bus to destroy it. Doing this will enable you to grab a new turbine from inside the bus station, which will be useful for opening Pack-a-Punch. You can access the bus station using the buyable door. Get back on the bus and drive to the diner poi. From there, open up the door to the diner itself and head to the location to build the hatch. Once built, press the jump input twice to climb up and turn around to buy the Galvaknuckles for 6000 points. If you don’t have enough points, just stay and build up points until you do. The MP5 inside the diner is a great wall buy to help with this if you are out of ammo.
Opening Pack-a-Punch
At this point the bus is no longer needed to traverse the map safely, so you are free to take as much or as little time as needed in each location. However, the bus is still the best way to travel between locations if you want to travel in the same direction as it. The box will always first spawn at the diner location if you would like to try out your luck for a better gun than the AK74u or MP5. Whenever you are ready to pack, head for the power station while skipping over the farm.
You can prevent the Denizens that attack you while in the fog from touching you by meleeing them with Galvaknuckles while they are lunging at your head. Just listen out for their scream. This is your time to turn around and melee or shoot if desired. There are also several massive lava pits blocking the road. Before crossing these, make sure there are no Denizens actively chasing you as they will slow you down if they latch on while in the lava.
When you arrive at the power station, place your turbine next to the AK74u wall buy on the corner of the shed and make sure no zombies are attacking it when you leave as this will make Pack-a-Punch inaccessible.
Keep heading counterclockwise down the road until your reach the town and head into the bank and past the two vault doors that were blown open previously. If luck is on your side, you should be able to head down to a new hidden area.
If there is a door blocking your path, then this indicates that your turbine at the power station was destroyed. Don’t worry, you probably didn’t do anything wrong as this mechanic on Tranzit can be finicky or the turbine has run out of power. Unfortunately, you’ll need to make your way back to the bus station, get another turbine, place it in the same spot by the shed at the power station, and run back to town.
Once inside the secret lab area, there will be several pieces needed to build the Pack-a-Punch. The workbench for the pieces is around the corner.
Finishing Setup
At his point, finishing getting setup is personal preference, but here are some suggestions to get you started:
- Build the Jet Gun or other buildables
- Spin the box for desired weapons and pack them
- Start the main Easter Egg
- Buy remaining perks. Speed Cola inside the diner, Quick Revive at the bus depot, and Double Tap in the second floor of the barn are all good choices.
